1st Place! PERSEVERANCE was the word of the weekend! During the second practice session, I got drilled by another car. Once we finally got the car back to the pits, Dad, Rob, and Rusty went to work replacing the rear axle and left front suspension. They thrashed and got it ready in time for me to run the heat race. I started dead last, and made it to first place on lap one. We led every lap of the heat race and took the win. That put us on the pole for the feature race. A hard charge from second place on the final lap wasn’t enough and we secured the win. Leading flag to flag was finally the race I have been striving for. Thank you to my dad for the best crew chief ever, but do you have the car dialed?? A huge thank you to Rusty Clanton for getting the car fixed and making it blazing fast!! Sitting in the points lead going into the final race weekend. We are going all in to win the championship.
